The competition is open to U11-U18 girls and boys competitive teams and U10 recreational teams, with six (no exceptions) guest players allowed per team. The entry fee for 2008 is $525 for U11-18 and $150 for U10 (U10 is 4v4). All teams are guaranteed 3 games minimum. In 2007 we had 136 teams. Each year we are forced to turn away teams when our tournament reaches the capacity of our fields. We accept teams in the order in which they apply, so early entry is important. We do not cash your check until your team is accepted, this generally would not occur until late March at the earliest. We stress sportsmanship and do not accept teams with poor records in that regard. Steamboat Springs is noted for its friendly atmosphere and tremendous number of other activities to do. No one leaves not having had a good time! Each player and coach receives a tournament program and gift. Medals are given to 1st and 2nd place teams in all age. Nearly all games are within 10 minutes or less from all hotels and other fields as shown on the map. Our location is in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and is a great place for soccer. In 2005, 238 teams participated, with 255 teams playing last Memorial Day, 2006. There is soccer for every level of team from U10 Option I, Challenge I through Premier. We have had representation in the past from NM, TX, AZ, MN, KS, NE, AZ, SD, MT, UT, CA, WY, NV, KY, WA, IA, in the past but this year promises to bring higher numbers from even more states.
