Additional Details: "2010 Ultimate Champions Cup" will be held August 1-August 7, 2010. Finally the Northeast has the "Ultimate Champions Cup". This tournament is for boys and girls ages U12-U19. Some of the top tournaments in the country, the Surf Cup, Dallas Cup,Disney's College Showcase and now the "2010 Ultimate Champions Cup" - all play one (1) game per day- making for better soccer, allowing players more rest between games, and making it better to be seen by college coaches and scouts. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your team's and player's skills. Eight (8) guest players will be permitted per team.
The "2010 Ultimate Champions Cup" is by invitation only. Teams are selected for invitation based on their competitive performance as shown on the on-line application. All performance information is verified through the Ultimate Youth Soccer's world wide network. Share the excitement of first class competition, make new soccer friends and enjoy a fun- filled week of activities. This will be a very competitive tournament. In the opening round robin, teams are bracketed into groups of four and are guaranteed a minimum of three games. Group winners and/or wildcards advance to the elimination stage of the tournament. "Friendly Games" will be organized in the latter part of the week for those teams that do not advance to the elimination stage giving teams the opportunity to play five matches (weather permitting) while in New York. All games are played on grass or Turf fields in Long Island, New York areas, all within easy driving distance of our designated tournament hotels. All finals will be held at a stadium or stadium style venue. Trophies and medals are awarded to all finalists and souvenirs to all competitors. There will be one game played per day - which gives players an opportunity to be rested and be at their best. The three (3) preliminary round matches will be scheduled from Sunday through Wednesday of the tournament week. For all age groups, quarter finals will begin on Thursday followed by semi finals on Friday and finals on Saturday. Team travel plans to and from Long Island should be made accordingly. This format is subject to change based on tournament need. Actual match schedules will be posted on the Ultimate Youth Soccer website shortly before the start of the tournament.
